There are 392 steps up to the top with no rail. If you slip or fall it is a long way to the bottom. The steps are 323 meters long. It was a very beautiful spot. The ceiling of the Mausoleum at the top has a Nationalist flag painted on it. Sun Yat-Sen is considered as the father of modern China by both the Nationalists and Communists.
