Although nature with its colorful abundance often seems like paradise, the ordinary life of most Dominicans does not.  A lot of people depend on agriculture and lack the necessary means to improve their life conditions.  As a result, many leave their country to look for opportunities abroad.  Yet a well-educated middle-class has also been growing over the years, which is now leading the country towards a more promising future.
