High atop a hill overlooking the city of Barcelona sits the Tibidabo Amusement Park. This family entertainment venue has been around for over 100 years and was one of my weekend destinations as a school girl at Marymount International School in Barcelona. Our school was located part way up the same hill.

Tibidabo gets its name from the Devil's temptation of Christ... "Haec omnia tibi dabo si cadens adoraveris me". A huge statue of Christ, sits atop the Iglesia Sagrat Cor (Sacred Heart) much like Christ the Redeemer who over looks Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
