¡Buenos días, amigos! We spent a few days in Paris and then headed south on a train to Barcelona. We enjoyed walking along Las Ramblas but every time I tipped my hat to a lady, someone threw coins in it. I really don’t understand that custom. I also noticed that they tossed coins in hats and boxes at the feet of some odd looking statues, and then stood next to the statues posing for a photograph.

We visited the Prado Museum in Madrid today and then took time to sit and sip on Coca-Cola with lemon and enjoy the tranquility on a lovely Spring day at the Retiro Park.

Faithfully yours,
Abraham Lincoln
