"Tears Down My Cheek"

by Cristy T. (age 13)
Mexico City, Mexico

Sometimes it just takes a second
to feel
and sometimes ages to let a tear run
all the way down my cheek

rather a painful death
than to not be able to feel sad
to feel down
or happy
all is in the middle
never as much as wanted

feels wrong but right
and as think
goes the silk

because it wasn't
and because it isn't

the land where everybody
wears blue hats
where everybody can cry
can laugh
and don't feel kind of empty
kind of full

one at sun
two in the moon
us in the roof
and nothing is good

I need completeness
I need you
but I don't
cause I never had you
cause I was never yours
