Although we know very little about the Colima culture (their very name comes from the modern Mexican state of Colima where their archaeological remains are found), they were excellent ceramists who created many ceramic vessels in the form of dogs, admired today for their graceful expressions and charm. These dogs were placed in tombs, showing us the importance that the ancient Mexicans gave to these little animals. This amusing little specimen was created between 200 BC and 450 AC.

Aunque sabemos muy poco sobre la cultura Colima (su nombre proviene del estado mexicano donde se han encontrado sus restos arqueológicos), eran excelentes ceramistas que crearon muchas vasijas en forma de perritos, que hoy son admirados por sus gráciles expresiones y encanto. Estos perritos se colocaban en tumbas, mostrándonos la importancia que daban los antiguos Mexicanos a estos pequeños animales. Este gracioso espécimen fue creado entre 200 AC y 450 DC.
