Another pre-Colombian culture from western Mexico, also known for their extraordinary skills in making artworks of fired clay, was the Nayarit Culture. This Nayarit mother with her child wears a necklace and the type of painted skirt that was worn 2000 years ago. Notice the expression in her face. She seems happy and in love with her little baby.
