Five thousand years ago in Ecuador there lived a culture known as the Valdivia culture. These two axe-heads were carved of stone and were used for ceremonial purposes. I find their shapes very beautiful, although we know very little about the people who made them.

Hace cinco mil años, vivía en el Ecuador una cultura conocida como Valdivia. Estas dos hachas de piedra fueron usadas para motivos ceremoniales. Encuentro que sus formas son bellas, aunque sabemos muy poco de la gente que las hizo.
