QUESTION:
How old are you now and what does it feel like to be such
a huge part of history in the making?
ANSWER
from Dan Maas on 6 January 2004:
I am currently 22 years old. I was fortunate to be
at JPL for the landing (although not in the control room)...
The real MER mission has been the most "cinematic"
experience of my life... it's like being inside a movie.

QUESTION:
Is the MER animation video available on DVD or VHS?
ANSWER
from Dan Maas on 11 November 2003:
On my website gallery page:
http://www.maasdigital.com/gallery.html
there is a download link for a large (300MB) DVD-quality
MPEG-2 stream of the video.
Incidentally, I just
finished about 6 minutes of original animation for a PBS
NOVA documentary about the MER mission. It will be
shown on PBS the day of the first MER landing. See:

QUESTION:
When you got into college, were you nervous about the
upgrade in your classes?
ANSWER
from Dan Maas on 9 November 2002:
Yes, definitely. The first few weeks were pretty
tough, since the professors like to pile on tons of work
at the beginning. But it gets easier once you learn
to adjust to their expectations.
